This website collects personal information to power our site analytics, including:

  • Preference cookies — remember your settings between visits.

Audience measurement cookies are retained for up to 6 months; other cookies up to 13 months. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings or our cookie banner.

Information We Collect

When you visit our website, we collect information about your browser, network, device, pages viewed, and IP address.

When you submit a form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and any message content — in order to respond to your enquiry.

When you become a member, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing details, membership tier, and any style preferences you choose to share during onboarding. Our payment processor collects payment information directly from you.

When you register for an event through Luma, we and Luma collect your name, email address, phone number, and booking details (e.g. ticket tier). Luma's privacy policy is at lu.ma/privacy-policy.

When you join our WhatsApp community, your phone number is visible to Brava as the administrator.

Emails

We may send you marketing emails — including our newsletter and event announcements — which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

We may also send transactional emails related to your membership or event bookings (e.g. confirmation, account updates). These cannot be unsubscribed from as they are essential to your use of our services.

Fonts

This website renders fonts using Google Fonts. To display this site correctly, Google may receive information about your browser, network, device, and IP address. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Website analytics — up to 13 months

  • Event registration data — duration of relationship + 2 years

  • Membership data — active period; deleted within 90 days of cancellation (unless legally required)

  • Newsletter / marketing — until you unsubscribe; deleted within 30 days

  • Payment records — 10 years (legal accounting requirement)

  • Form submissions — 3 years from last contact

Where providers are based outside the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in line with GDPR Articles 45 and 46. We do not sell your personal data.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at victoria@thebravaedit.com. We will respond within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify active members by email. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
