Brava events are built on trust, respect, and a genuine desire to connect. These guidelines exist to make sure everyone feels safe, welcome, and at ease.

  • Know where you're going. Check your confirmation email for the venue address and arrival time. All Brava events take place at vetted, public venues in Lisbon.

  • Tell someone your plans. Let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going and when you expect to be back. A quick message goes a long way.

  • Check the menu. For dinners, look up the restaurant menu ahead of time. Note any allergies and let staff know when you arrive — don't assume anything is safe.

  • Have your ticket ready. Bring your Luma confirmation — digital or printed. Arrive on time out of respect for others.

Before the Event

  • Keep your belongings close. Keep your drink and personal items within your sight at all times, especially at social events and happy hours.

    Be mindful of alcohol. Enjoy yourself, but stay clear-headed and in control. Never pressure others to drink more than they're comfortable with.

  • Arrive with an open mind. Brava brings together people from different backgrounds, with different tastes and perspectives. Curiosity is always more interesting than judgment.

  • You set your own boundaries. There's no pressure to stay longer than you're comfortable with. Leave whenever it feels right — no explanation needed.

  • Splitting the bill. For dinners, come prepared to split. Bring cash where possible — while most restaurants can split by card, it's not always guaranteed.

During the Event

  • Getting home safely. Do not drive if you've been drinking. Use a taxi, rideshare, or public transport. Do not accept a ride from someone who is under the influence.

  • Sharing contact details. Exchange personal information only with people you feel comfortable with. There's no obligation to stay in touch with anyone.

  • No financial exchanges. Do not transfer money or share financial information with anyone you've met through a Brava event. If someone asks, treat it as a red flag.

  • Report anything that felt wrong. If something made you uncomfortable — before, during, or after — let us know at victoria@thebravaedit.com. We take all reports seriously.

After the Event

  • Embrace difference. Everyone at a Brava event has different thoughts, views, and experiences. Be genuinely curious. Lead with openness, not assumption.

  • Respect boundaries. Be mindful of personal space, both physical and conversational. If someone seems uncomfortable, adjust — don't wait to be asked.

  • Keep it inclusive. Avoid topics or humour that could alienate, offend, or make someone feel unwelcome. You don't always know what others are carrying.

  • Zero tolerance. Harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate behaviour of any kind will result in removal from the event and a permanent ban from the Brava community. No exceptions.

Content & Photos

  • Ask before you photograph. Always ask for consent before photographing or filming other attendees. Not everyone wants to appear on social media — and that's entirely valid.

  • Brava content. By attending a Brava event, you consent to photography or video taken by the Brava team, which may be used across our platforms. If you'd prefer not to be included, let us know at the event.

  • In any emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. In Portugal, the emergency number is 112.
